First day of a new year and it is all about looking at life in a brand new way. While I expect this blog to hold me to getting projects and lifestyle changes to bring me to a new place 364 short days from now,it is also about enriching my life in little ways. To honor that(how pretentious. Did I really just type that...ugh, I need to refine my writing style in 2016), I grabbed the kids and we went to the beach. It seems, we missed the news that a body that had washed up further up the beach early in the day...no foul play, just a sad accident...but don't think we would have gone that way had we known. Regardless, a fun time was had and my girls are still talking about what a fun time we had spending the day together. Little things, people, little things.
And a project for me is underway: Nearly two years ago--yes, TWO years ago, we re-arranged bedrooms in the house. The girls, almost 10 years old at the time, each got their own room upstairs in my little house and I took their old playroom on the first floor. Their rooms each got painted and foofified but my little room became the dumping ground for things with no home...laundry, a bookcase.
Two coats of KILZ and three coats of paint and it is finally gone. A little bittersweet to see a remnant of the kids childhood gone but no looking back. Big plans for the room coming. I have a crazy idea for the room but that is for another day.To be continued....
